CoinKit adds MATIC on the POLYGON Blockchain
Today we are happy to announce the addition of the MATIC Token on the POLYGON Blockchain.
What is Polygon?
Polygon is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling & infrastructure development. Their scaling solutions have seen widespread adoption with 450+ Dapps, ~350M txns, and ~13.5M+ unique users. It is the answer to some of the challenges faced by Ethereum today – such as heavy fees, poor user experience and low transactions per second (TPS). And it aims to create a multi-chain ecosystem of ethereum compatible blockchains.
How can it be used inside of CoinKit?
MATIC is a native Token on the POLYGON Blockchain, that way you can just use it like any other integrated Coin/Token within CoinKit.
Usage of MATIC:
Using the command „changecoin MATIC“ will change the default interface to MATIC ( POLYGON ). Afterwards you can do a „/deposit“ and you will receive your address where you can deposit your MATIC ( POLYGON ).
Please only deposit MATIC on Polygon, an ETH Bridge is not implemented and the Tokens wont be credited. So CoinKit does only accept MATIC on POLYGON right now.
